knit rug

in I'M IN LOVE

I’ve recently been thinking about re-doing my apartment. I’m getting sick of the way things look. I don’t really know if I have the time or the funds to do it, so I just look at cool things and wish I could buy them all. I’ve been looking at Apartment Therapy quite a bit, and came across this AMAZING rug by Flocks. I love love love this.

I got some pretty doughnuts today. I have not had a doughnut in soooo long. They were so good with a large glass of milk. Yumm.

I did a shoot a little while ago for Matt as part of my independent study. Matt suggested I do some mixed drinks. I had never really shot just drinks before, so I was exited to shoot them. It was really different having to light the glass and make sure it had shape and the proper amount of fill to get some good highlights. I photographed a mojito, lemon drop martinis, and scotch on the rocks. Thank you Matt for all your help!!!! Here are the results:

I made this dish primarily because of the tomatoes and basil the chicken sits on. I have never had parmesan crusted chicken before, but I have had parmesan crusted dover sole and I was totally in love with it. So I thought this would be good as well. I am not really a big chicken fan, not quite sure why, but I’m just not. This dish was good though. I didn’t love it, mostly because it was chicken, but given that, I did enjoy this dish. Here is what I ate:

I went to the Hollywood farmers market on Sunday and got some great flowers. The flowers there are so amazing. They have some really these vibrant colors and unique types. I wish I knew what all the flowers I photographed actually were, but I have no idea.

I made little mini cheese cakes today. According to the recipe, they are actually passion fruit cheese cakes, but my local market didn’t have them. I improvised, and just layered the bottom of the ramekin with fresh raspberries. The cheese cakes took way longer to cook than what the recipe called for, almost three times as long. The cheese cake is a lot more lighter than regular cheese cake, which I really appreciated because unfortunately I’m not the biggest cheese cake fan. What a nice and simple dessert to make.
