From the monthly archives:
Its getting down to it. I have about three more weeks in my semester and I’m so excited. Why you ask? Well first of all, on Wednesday I leave for the Bahamas! I don’t even remember the last time I went on a vacation. I’m so excited. So I’ve been a busy bee with school in order to make this trip a relaxing one. Once the semester is over I am going to New York for some sight seeing and then Boise for some sweet thrifting. I can’t wait. I just bough 200 dollars worth of polaroid for my sx-70. Which I am taking on my trips. It should be fun. In the mean time, can I just say that TJ Maxx is my new favorite store for props. There stuff is so cheap! They have such great knock offs. Anyway, here is a wine shot from today. I shot for Orange Coast Magazine today, so once the magazine comes out, I will be able to share the image. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I made some ice cream sandwiches today. All I could think about is this hilarious SNL skit called Dopple Gangers, this the entry title “everybody loves sandwiches!.” Please watch it because its hilarious. Anyway, its hot, and ice cream is what I want. So I made some chocolate and vanilla ice cream sandwiches with butter waffle cookies.

I had my debut in LA Times Magazine this month, as both a photographer and a model (I’m not really a model.) I thought I would share the pictures with you. I did a little still life of some glasses and a table cloth from a company called Jean Vier. I modeled this crazy solar powered blue tooth head set. My friend Alexandra interned for the magazine and got me the gig. She shot me with the headset, which by the way, had to be glued into me ear (I have weirdly shaped ears). I have to say, modeling really sucks. I totally had to pretend I was having a really interesting conversation with myself, it was just really weird.

I took some pictues of some new vessels I bought. I really liked the way it turned out so I took another shot of some vessels I already had. I made a diptych kind of thing that reminds me a lot of glass sculptor Dale Chihuly. His work is amazing.

I’ve been taking a small break from photographing to obtain new props. I feel as though I have out used my prop collection, so I desperately needed some new stuff. I’ve been thrifting my little heart out. I also got some great new surfaces from some marble stores so I am ready to be a shutter bug again. I got some amazing new and unique kitchen utensils, new vessels, and some cool plates, bowls, and linens. Wooo. Finally!! So here are some new images I just took today. Don’t you just love that ice cream scoop? I also planted some new herbs. Hopefully they won’t die. I’ve also been working on getting a store set up on etsy to sell some of my photographs, and maybe some cool props I’ve used one too many times. I will definitely post when I finally have my shop up.
