I really didn’t like the corn cakes. Something about them… I’m not sure. I probably did something wrong. I think I have some more recipes that I will actually like on the way. I leave again on Tuesday for Idaho. Which should be relaxing. I can’t wait to go prop shopping!

I was wondering around union square and took some polaroids of the farmers market there. I think my sx-70 is on the fritz because I could not get an exposure right. The best part about New York is that you can run around taking pictures and no one asks you questions or asks you to stop unlike here in LA. That was great. Here are some polaroids for you:

I went to Magnolia Bakery today. Randomly, my friend and I got filmed picking out our cupcakes by the tennis channel. Are you confused? I am too. I didn’t realize it until after we were done. Great, footage of me being a fat ass possibly on TV, at least its the tennis channel, I’ve never even heard of that.

So I have made vanilla magnolia cupcakes many a times before. The cupcakes we had were all really good. Vanilla with chocolate frosting, and chocolate with chocolate frosting. The cake was soo good, but I felt like the frosting was kinda oily. Here are some pictures of what I ate, sorry they suck, I took them with my point and shoot. At the end of my pig out with my friend, we had one cupcake left. I totally ate it one bite. She filmed the incident, but I have yet to decide if I will post the video. We shall see.

Here is a little New York quiz question for you… If you know where I am in this picture I will… give you some kind of prize!! The first one to answer correctly gets it. Good Luck!

I am leaving tomorrow to go to New York for a week. So its gonna be another boring week here at Fish Food. But I will be back next week and then we can play again. In the mean time, I will leave you with some chocolate tarts and whipped cream. Have a good week everyone!

Finally! I got around to do another Fish does Hay. I had do something with figs. Every time I go to the farmers market I see them, and they are just so beautiful. This recipe is actually not one I intended to do out of the book because its part of the back, where they have quick explanations of sides and quick bites. But it just looked so goooodddd. It was super yummy too.

I took some photos of this pasta. Funny because I totally cannot eat shell fish. It looked good though. Actually, I didn’t even realize how much seafood was going to be in this pasta. It really was sea filled. I got most of these props at TJ MAXX. I love that store. I especially love the wine decanter. Although, its quite possible that its a vase, and not a decanter. I don’t know. I am pretty sure its a decanter. Oh! Have you guys heard of The Daring Bakers? I’ve seen people doing their recipes for awhile now. So I have finally decided to email them and hopefully become part of the group. So excited.

I shot today with the ever amazing prop stylist Emily Henderson. We shot these amazing pillows and a blanket from Anthropologie. We also shot some towels from Anthro too. They have such amazing stuff. If only I could afford their stuff! Ugh. I save their catalogues though, because they have such great propping and photography.
